A suspect is in custody following a shooting in Fond du Lac over the weekend.
The Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting in the parking lot of Hoppers Screen Printing and Embroidery and Fast Taco just after 2:30 a.m. yesterday (October 20th).
As officers arrived, they were advised that someone had been shot and needed medical assistance.
They located the victim, a 24-year-old Fond du Lac man, with a gunshot wound to his arm.
He was transported to a local hospital before being flown out to receive additional treatment.
He is currently in stable condition.
Through investigation, Fond du Lac PD officers and detectives determined the suspect to be a 52-year-old man, also of Fond du Lac.
He was later arrested while leaving his home in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
A search warrant was executed, and evidence linking the shooting to the 52-year-old was found.
He has had charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, first-degree reckless injury, battery, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office.
No more information is being released at this time, but it can be expected when the DA’s Office files a criminal complaint.
