More information is being released after yesterday’s (October 22nd) bomb threat at Two Rivers High School.
Two Rivers Police Lieutenant Jacob Glaser says at 3:20 pm, the school got the call of a bomb threat at the end of the day.
Many students and staff had already left or were leaving, but everyone still at the high school was evacuated.
TR Police cleared the building and grounds with assistance from Mishicot Police and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
No sign of any explosive devices was found. Investigators determined that the call to Two Rivers High School was not a credible threat and was believed to have originated from an overseas scammer using a compromised telephone subscriber account.
Two Rivers Police say there is no threat to the public and that any threat against schools is taken seriously.
They also remind the public that if anyone hears a threat or witnesses suspicious activity, report it to police or school officials immediately.
Two Rivers Police thanked those who helped sweep the building, along with Outagamie County Sheriffs, Green Bay Police, Beloit Police, the Two Rivers Bus Company, and the Two Rivers School District, for their prompt response.
