The start date for the Give-A-Kid-A-Book campaign in Brown County has been announced.
The 36th annual campaign will kick off on Wednesday, October 30th, in the Youth Services Department at the Brown County Central Library in Downtown Green Bay.
The announcement was made earlier this week by the Friends of the Brown County Library and honorary literacy ambassador Bre LaFleur, wife of Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur.
This annual book collection event invites individuals, families, businesses, and other groups throughout the community to donate new, unwrapped books to be given as gifts.
These books will be given to children and families in need ranging from infants to 18 years old.
The distribution of the books will take place in December in partnership with the Green Bay Salvation Army Holiday Assistance Program.
There will also be various locations in Brown County to donate books purchased at bookstores directly to the program.
Drop box locations across the county will also accept donations through December 10th.
