An employee at Sheboygan North High School has received an award from the Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA).
It has been announced that Lynn Bitney, Sheboygan North’s Student Services Secretary, has been given the 2025 WSCA Secretary/Support Staff Award.
This award recognizes people who support and enhance the work of school counselors while lifting up students.
Bitney is well respected and supportive of the other counselors at the school but also staff and students at North High.
Trevor Tagel, high school counselor department chair states, “First and foremost – Lynn is a student advocate. She believes in kids and wants to find the good and the best in everyone.”
Every year, the WSCA recognizes individuals who demonstrate the profound impact school counselors have on students, and this year Bitney has received the award for doing just that.
She will be recognized next month at the WSCA’s annual conference, which is held in Wisconsin Dells.
