The Wisconsin Elections Commission has issued a warning regarding deceptive election-related texts.
On Friday (October 25th), the Commission urged people to exercise caution when responding to any text messages concerning next month’s election.
Commissioners reported receiving examples of texts suggesting issues with voter registration or incorrect voter information.
While these messages may not always be scams, they likely contain inaccuracies.
Voters are encouraged to verify their registration details with their local clerk or through the state’s My Vote website.
