Milwaukee Police report that a Bay View bartender, Cara Corder, was struck by a vehicle in what appears to have been an illegal street race.
Friends of Corder stated the drivers sped off after the incident on Saturday night.
Corder, who worked at the Wiggle Room, is now fighting for her life.
The bar’s owner noted that street racing and reckless driving have become significant concerns in the neighborhood.
Milwaukee Police have not yet released information about potential suspects involved in the hit-and-run.
