An event for printing enthusiasts is coming back to the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum.
Their 16th annual Wayzgoose Conference returns next week starting on November 8th and going through the 10th and will feature nearly 300 attendees from around the world who share a love of letterpress printing, typography, and design.
This year’s keynote speaker is Annie Atkins, an Irish graphic designer.
Her work has been featured in movies like Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and The French Dispatch.
Program Officer Stephanie Carpenter says that the museum is excited to have Atkins join as one of the keynote speakers.
Other activities at the conference include fourteen presentations on wood-type history, on-site workshops, a print swap and sale, and trivia.
The event means the museum is closed for visitors starting next Monday (November 4th).
The term Wayzgoose, historically, means entertainment given by a master printer to workers.
