The boil water advisory for the Village of Fox Crossing has officially been lifted.
The advisory was lifted yesterday afternoon (October 30th) after two rounds of testing results from the Department of Natural Resources came back positive.
The DNR’s testing revealed the water was safe to drink uncontaminated, giving the approval to lift the advisory.
The boil water advisory was first put in place on Monday (October 28th) after a water main broke on Irish Road, which resulted in the west side water towers draining quickly.
It is standard protocol to issue boil water advisories when incidents result in the depressurization of water supplies, and in this case, no contamination was present.
The Village of Fox Crossing thanked residents for their cooperation and patience while the advisory was in effect and assured them that the water was safe to drink.
