The first Saturday in November will be filled with high school sports.
Boys’ Cross country teams from Valders, Manitowoc Lutheran, Kohler, and Chilton, along with girls’ squads from Valders, Kiel, and Kewaunee, will compete at today’s state cross country meet at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
Individual competitors include Natalie Portman of Manitowoc Lincoln, Eli Gallagher of Two Rivers, Evalyn Schafer of Kiel, Juliana Doerner of Mishicot, Alena O’Connell of Reedsville, Alana Kempen of Brillion, and Kyan Lintz and Claire Du Chateau of Luxemburg Casco.
Manitowoc Lutheran’s girls’ volleyball team is aiming for a trip to state this afternoon. They will play Heritage Christian of New Berlin in a Division Four Sectional Final in Kohler at 4 p.m.
In Division Two, Luxemburg Casco meets Kewaskum at Sheboygan South. The match is at 7 p.m., and in Division One, Kimberly and Bayport meet at 4:30 at Appleton North.
In the Boys’ Soccer Sectional Finals, Kiel hosts Sturgeon Bay in Division Four, and in Division Three, Sheboygan Falls meets Ripon at Plymouth. Both matches start at 1 p.m., and the winners advance to state next week in Milwaukee.
