A Winneconne man faces a 4th OWI after leading police on a chase.
Winneconne Police say last Friday (November 1st), an officer tried to pull the man over after he drove through a stop sign at a high rate of speed.
When he didn’t stop, officers started a pursuit.
The driver allegedly was going well over the speed limit before the pursuit ended around the 800 block of Elm Street.
Police say the man quickly exited the vehicle and tried to get inside his house.
Police arrested the 31-year-old and charged him with felony Fleeing/Eluding, felony Operating While Intoxicated (4th Offense), and carrying a concealed weapon.
Winneconne Police didn’t release any other information following the pursuit.
They thanked the city of Omro Police for their help in the pursuit.
