Milwaukee Alderman Jonathan Brostoff has passed away in what officials believe to be an apparent suicide.
City leaders shared heartfelt tributes yesterday following the news of Brostoff’s death.
Brostoff represented Milwaukee’s east side as an alderman and previously served as a state legislator.
The County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently investigating his death.
Tributes poured in from Milwaukee’s mayor and Wisconsin’s governor, honoring Brostoff’s dedication to public service.
Plans for a memorial or funeral have not yet been announced.
