The City of Sheboygan’s Director of Planning and Development has put in their resignation.
WHBL reports that Diane McGinnis-Casey resigned on Thursday (October 31st), which was confirmed by City Administrator Casey Bradley.
The city is working with its Human Resources Department to update the job description, get the position posted, and find McGinnis-Casey’s successor.
However, in the meantime, City of Sheboygan staff will work together to mitigate any issues that arise while a new Director of Planning and Development is found.
McGinnis-Casey took over the position on August 28th of last year following the resignation of the previous director Chad Pelishek who then filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Sheboygan for claims of hostile and abusive work conditions.
In City Administrator Bradley’s confirmation, no specific reasons were provided for McGinnis-Casey’s resignation.
