Representative Paul Tittl will continue serving Eastern Wisconsin in Madison.
Tittl was declared the winner of the 25th Assembly District Race in the early morning hours of Wednesday, defeating Democrat Steve Welch.
Tittl thanked everyone who voted in this election, especially his supporters.
“I don’t take their support for granted ever. I do appreciate it,” he told SeehaferNews.com. “I will keep working hard for you whether you voted for me or not.”
As for what he wants to accomplish this time around, Tittl says he is focused on getting Wisconsinites a tax cut.
“We are sitting on billions of dollars of the people’s money,” he said. “We have extra money so we should send it back to them in the form of a tax cut.”
Other Assembly winners were Shae Sortwell in District 2, Ron Tussler in District 3, Lindee Brill in District 27, and Robert Brooks in District 59, all Republicans.
Tittl’s challenger, Steve Welch, announced on his Facebook page that he thanked his team for the race and that Democrats did better than in past tries by getting to 50%.
He continues saying he could not have a greater affection for all or more pride in what he accomplished and that they must continue to fight.
