Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos confirmed that Republicans will continue driving the capitol’s legislative agenda.
Vos noted yesterday that Republicans maintained control of both the Assembly and Senate in the recent election, ensuring Governor Evers will need their cooperation to pass legislation this year.
While the GOP lost some seats under Governor Evers’ new district maps, Vos emphasized that Wisconsin voters still elected a Republican majority, noting that Republicans have secured victories under all political scenarios.
He attributed Democratic gains mainly to the re-drawn, “gerrymandered” maps.
