A couple of area libraries are partnering with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for a reading program.
The Check Out Wisconsin State Parks at Your Library program is a collaborative effort with the DNR, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and more than 160 libraries across the state.
Library cardholders at the libraries will get an opportunity to get a daily pass to a state park, forest, or recreation center.
The Manitowoc and Chilton Public Libraries are just two of the many libraries that will participate in this year’s program, as are the libraries in Door, Brown, Outagamie, and Sheboygan Counties.
Passes for the 2025 season go on sale today (November 13th).
Along with the day passing, library cardholders may receive an informational kit of state park system materials and maps, stickers, accessibility information, and more.
