A Manitowoc teen was jailed on child porn charges.
Marcos Jose Martinez-Figueroa was given a $500 cash bail, which he has since posted, on six counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
He was caught with the material after the Manitowoc Police Department opened an investigation on a tip from the Department of Criminal Investigation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
When asked about the six photos on his phone, Martinez-Figueroa said he searched for the material because he was “curious.”
He was also ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless they are a member of his household and to not possess any internet-enabled devices; however, a third party can use such devices on his behalf for the purpose of school or benefits.
He is due back in court on November 18th.
