An area hospital has been given an “A” rating for patient safety.
Advocate Health, which owns Aurora Medical, was awarded by the Leapfrog Group for nineteen hospitals.
Locally, Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County was one of them.
According to Advocate Health, Leapfrog looked at 22 different safety measures and assigned grades based on how well hospitals are doing to protect patients from errors, accidents, injuries, and infections.
Executive Vice President Scott Rissmiller says, “It’s an honor to see our hospitals recognized for their unwavering dedication to patient safety and quality care. These grades are a testament to the relentless efforts of our health care professionals and the innovative strategies we employ to continually enhance the health and well-being of our communities.”
Other area hospitals that got an “A” rating include Aurora Medical Center in Kohler, Oshkosh, and Green Bay.
Seven other Aurora Medical Centers across Wisconsin also received an “A” rating.
