The former Ripon High School basketball coach facing child sexual assault charges has appeared in court.
According to court records, Mihai Schnell-Harrison was in court via video conference on Friday (November 15th) for his initial appearance.
Schnell-Harrison had his bond set at $150,000 cash and is facing five felony counts, including Sexual Assault of a Student by School Staff, Child Enticement Sexual Contact, Exposing Genitals to a Child, Possession of Child Pornography, and Exposing a Child to Harmful Material.
FOX11 reports that Schnell-Harrison allegedly exchanged sexually explicit photos with a Ripon High School student before meeting up in the school parking lot, where they had physical contact.
Terms of his bail include no contact with anyone under 18, no use of social media, and no contact with Ripon School District staff, students, or grounds.
He is due back in court on Friday (November 22nd) for a preliminary hearing.
