A state trail in Brown County is temporarily closed for construction repairs.
The Fox River Recreational Trail is currently closed between Bomier Street and Cook Street in De Pere.
The closure allows crews to perform a culvert repair, which means heavy machinery will be on the trail, making it impassable.
Construction on the recreational trail began yesterday (November 18th), and it will remain closed today and potentially tomorrow to complete the project and remove the necessary equipment.
Additionally, there will be no marked detours during this time, so trail users are asked to plan ahead and respect crews as they work.
The Brown County Parks Department has thanked residents for their understanding as this work is done to a trail that the community has come to appreciate.
