Work on a stretch of Interstate 41 is coming to an end.
A high-traffic area of I-41 between Neenah and Appleton will see a rehabilitation project finish up this week between Breezewood Avenue and State Highway 15 in Winnebago and Outagamie Counties.
Crews will be working to remove traffic control devices in the coming days, bringing an end to the rehab project, which began in spring earlier this year.
Work over the past months included pavement rehabilitation and maintenance on the roads, bridges, ramps, and other structures along the way.
With the announcement of the project coming to an end, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation thanked motorists for their patience while repairs were made over the past few months.
The maintenance on this portion of I-41 was separate and not a part of the major construction being done on the interstate between Appleton and De Pere.
