A large portion of Manitowoc was without power for a short time this morning.
Manitowoc Public Utilities reports that some powerlines were downed in the 3900 block of Calumet Avenue, causing an estimated 665 customers to lose power, including the area around Walmart.
Electric Distribution staff were able to restore power to a majority of the outage area within an hour, however workers are still addressing some smaller outages throughout the city.
Jennie Nelson, the Communications Manager for MPU, tells SeehaferNews.com, “Our top priority is that our staff are safe, and we appreciate your patience while we work safely to restore power.”
