A father and son from Vernon County are facing charges for allegedly killing their neighbor’s dog.
The charges were filed this week against John Kurtz and his son, Andrew, after the neighbor reported her dog missing over the weekend.
She told authorities that Kurtz had previously threatened to kill the dog for getting too close to his property.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kurtz admitted to having his son shoot the dog and then dispose of its body in a ditch behind their home.
