An area state senator and assembly representative were given awards through the Associated Builders and Contractors.
30th District State Senator Eric Wimberger and Representative Joy Goeben, both from the Green Bay area, were presented with the “Building Wisconsin” award last week at Milis Flatwork in Kaukauna.
According to the association, Wimberger and Goeben’s last legislative session increased the number of people in the skilled construction trades.
The Associated Builders and Contractors’ number of apprentices is at an all-time high in their 112-year history with 17,089.
The program has been growing for the last three years.
