The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships girls’ basketball team used a 16-point run to start the game to cruise to a 64-34 win in their season opener over the Mishicot Indians yesterday (November 26th).
Lincoln’s Sara Bolchen led the Shipbuilders with 23 points, while Taylor Peterson added 20 but had to leave the game in the second half after receiving an injury and did not return.
Carson Karsyn Krause had 16 points for the Indians, while Anna Cisler chipped in nine.
Lincoln starts their season at 1-0, while Mishicot falls to 0-3 in the early season.
The Indians will host Howards Grove next Thursday (December 5th) while the Ship welcome in Milwaukee King next Tuesday (December 3rd).
