Tours are now available for an annual Manitowoc Christmas tradition.
You may have seen the Evergleam trees up in downtown storefronts, but now anyone interested in learning more about them can take either a walking or trolley tour to see them until January 5th.
There are 37 locations where you can see the aluminum trees or other products made in Manitowoc by Mirro Aluminum and the National Tinsel Company.
Walking tours are $12, while a trolley tour is $25.
You can find the Evergleam headquarters at Heart and Homestead on S. 8th Street.
Evergleams on Eighth Executive Director Barb Bundy-Yost previously told Seehafernews.com that the trees were created in the 1950s after World War II when the US shredded aluminum pieces to block enemy radio signals.
