The Mayor of Manitowoc is seeking another term.
Mayor Justin Nickels officially announced yesterday (December 1st) that he needs 200 signatures on his nomination papers to be placed on the ballot as he seeks reelection.
In his statement, Mayor Nickels expressed excitement over his decision and hoped to continue the work he and those involved have accomplished over the years.
The mayor also stated he is proud of the state of the city financially and economically, highlighting Manitowoc’s new businesses, reduced debt, and balanced budgets.
He said, “I am also proud that we continue to invest in our quality of life in all areas of the city. We may have disagreements from time to time, but we have changed our city’s dynamic, and we have so much to be proud of and look forward to.”
The general election for mayor of Manitowoc will be held next year on Tuesday, April 1st.
