A community advocate and business leader will be running for mayor.
Jason Prigge has announced his candidacy for Mayor of Manitowoc.
In a press release, Prigge has promised to bring innovation, collaboration, and accountability to City Hall.
He said, “I’ve seen our city’s potential and have worked tirelessly to support its growth through my work in business and service. As mayor, I will continue that work by fostering an environment where everyone can thrive, ensuring that our families, businesses, and neighborhoods have the resources they need to succeed.”
As founder of Coolest Coast and Vagabond Creative Studio, Prigge looks to bring a unique blend of entrepreneurship and community service to the city and his campaign.
He also outlined his vision for Manitowoc, which included focusing on affordable housing, combatting the opioid crisis, and supporting education and the youth.
Current Mayor Justin Nickels also announced his reelection bid yesterday (December 1st).
The general election for Mayor of Manitowoc will be held next year on Tuesday, April 1st.
