Manitowoc and Two Rivers Police plus the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are reminding drivers to Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over.
Both departments will be participating in the campaign again this year starting next Friday (December 13th) and going through January 1st.
The annual holiday campaign is with Wisconsin State Patrol to keep Wisconsin roads safe and free of impaired drivers.
According to NHTSA, someone is injured or killed in an impaired driving crash every two hours in Wisconsin.
In 2023, there were 7,700 impaired driving crashes that claimed the lives of 186 people in the Badger state.
Manitowoc Police says if you feel you can’t drive or don’t want to drive, select a designated driver ahead of time and remember the options available, including public transportation.
