It was a rough start to the Big East schedule for the Mishicot girls basketball team.
The Indians hosted Howards Grove last night and fell to the Tigers 54-35.
The Tigers jumped out to a 10-point lead at the break and kept their foot on the gas en route to a 19-point win.
Leading the way for Howards Grove were Natalie Carmody and Addison Stoeckigt, who accounted for 17 and 16 points, respectively.
For the Indians, Kensington Rosenow netted 16 points, while Karsyn Krause added 13 in the loss.
The Indians will take the weekend to regroup before traveling to Manitowoc to take on the Lutheran Lancers on Monday.
