The names of those involved in the fatal crash in Fond du Lac County have been released.
The crash occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday (December 5th) on State Highway 26 at Hickory Road near Ripon.
A northbound semi-truck, driven by 29-year-old Raj Kumar, crossed over the center line and struck a southbound minivan head-on.
The driver of the minivan, 52-year-old Paul Moore of Waupun, was pronounced dead on the scene following the head-on collision while Kumar was uninjured.
An investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing, with the Wisconsin State Patrol working to complete a reconstruction of the entire crash scene.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted by the Fond du Lac and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Offices and Highway Departments, along with the Ripon Police Department, in the response following the fatal crash.
