There are just three games of local and area interest in high school girls’ basketball Saturday, but one stands out as a pair of unbeatens battle at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
The 4 and 0 Lancers, ranked eighth in the wissports.net Division Four coaches’ poll, host the 3 and 0 Kewaunee Storm at Lancer Circle.
The Lancers continue a three-game homestand following a 76 to 72 victory over previously undefeated and third-ranked St. Mary Catholic.
The Storm haven’t played since Tuesday night, defeating Gibraltar 61 to 21. The varsity tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., with the junior varsity game to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Elsewhere, Bay Port hosts Fond Du Lac, and Wausau East travels to Green Bay East.
There’s a full slate of boy’s games, including Brillion traveling to Hilbert to meet the Wolves, Gibraltar heading to Kohler, West De Pere making the short trip to De Pere, Green Bay East hosting Wausau East, Monona Grove hosting Green Bay Preble, and Tigerton visiting Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran.
Elsewhere, Southern Door is hosting Luxemburg Casco, Oostburg is heading to Greendale to play Martin Luther, Weston is hosting Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah, and St. Mary Springs of Fond Du Lac is traveling to Cedar Grove-Belgium to meet The Rockets.
