Wisconsin’s Attorney General, Josh Kaul, has introduced additional charges in the investigation into the fake electors scheme following the 2020 election.
Kaul announced 10 new charges against attorneys Kenneth Chesebro and Jim Troupis, accusing them of forgery to defraud for allegedly misleading Republican electors about casting votes for Trump after his loss in Wisconsin.
In addition, charges have been filed against a Washington, D.C. aide who assisted in delivering the alternate electors’ slate to Vice President Mike Pence.
Chesebro and Troupis maintain that they were merely providing legal advice and presenting a hypothetical scenario to Wisconsin Republicans.
Both attorneys are scheduled to appear in Madison court tomorrow.
