Two Rivers has joined Manitowoc and Sheboygan in providing property tax billing information to residents.
Property tax bills in Two Rivers began to be sent out on Thursday (December 12th), and the City has provided residents, especially homeowners, with additional details as bills are up across the board.
Many Two Rivers taxpayers will see significant increases in their bills for two major factors: new property assessments and increased tax levies by local taxing entities.
These taxing entities include Manitowoc County, Two Rivers Public School District, and Lakeshore College.
Property tax bills will see a 13.71 percent increase from the County, 34.4 percent from the school district, and 15.83 percent from Lakeshore College.
However, the increased rates are not from the city itself because Two Rivers has kept its total tax levy unchanged from 2023.
This means that while property taxes have seen a substantial hike, the City will not be on the receiving end of any additional taxes collected compared to last year.
Property tax bills can be viewed online before arriving in the mail under the Tax Bills tab at two-rivers.org.
