The Operation Elijah Vue toy drive is being deemed a great success.
The Two Rivers Police Department posted a video Monday afternoon (December 16th) showing what toys were donated and showed a room full of everything from books, dolls, trucks, and more.
The area Two Rivers police were collecting was so full of toys that boxes were also shown in the hallway.
The department will be able to help over 100 families in need and over 200 children with getting a Christmas gift this year.
Missy Wells started the fundraiser from the Remembering Elijah Vue Facebook group.
During Monday’s city council meeting, Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley said the pictures of all the unwrapped toys show what the community can do.
The video can be found on the Two Rivers Police Department’s Facebook page.
Elijah’s remains were found in September this year in the Town of Two Rivers after first being reported missing back in February this year.
