The Wisconsin DNR is looking to honor an ethical hunter.
Nominations are now open for the 2024 Wisconsin Ethical Hunter Award, which recognizes a hunter whose actions symbolize Wisconsin’s hunting heritage.
Examples that qualify a hunter for the award include helping other hunters find lost game, assisting novice hunters, or protecting natural resources.
A five-person committee reviews the nominations and selects the person deemed most deserving of this award.
Those nominating must submit witness papers and maintain the name, address, and telephone number of the witness or witnesses, or the person must be aware of the behavior that led to the nomination.
All are due by January 31st.
