More housing is on the way in Plymouth after the city received millions in funding.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) announced yesterday (December 18th) that $9.3 million has been awarded across the state for new housing developments.
The Plymouth Project was on the receiving end of $3.4 million of a total of $5 million awarded for Infrastructure Access funding.
This $3.4 million will help support a project which will add 94 housing units in the community.
The Plymouth Project is one of seven groups that received funding for Vacancy-to-Vitality and Restore Main Street projects.
This funding was made possible by bipartisan legislation that was signed into law by Governor Evers in 2023.
No timetable was given for when construction on the 94 units would begin in Plymouth.
