A local theater company is getting some money to help the deaf community enjoy live theater.
Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) received a grant from the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation that will help fund the ASL interpreters at the upcoming performances making the community there accessible with hearing impairment.
This grant will enable STC to provide ASL interpreters at its performances, reflecting SPEF’s dedication to fostering inclusion and accessibility in Sheboygan.
Executive Director Tricia Roberts said of the grant, “We are deeply grateful to the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation for their generous support.”
ASL interpreters will be available at each Saturday matinee performance, with Alice by Heart on February 22nd at 2:00 p.m. and Legally Blonde the Musical on May 17th, also at 2:00.
