Manitowoc police officers were forced to discharge their taser during a recent arrest.
Officers were dispatched to the Trails End Trailer Court at 4:15 Saturday evening on a report of a man trespassing on the property.
The 30-year-old man was issued an order on September 14th to not be in the trailer court for any reason and was cited for returning to the property later that same day.
When police arrived, the man was said to be resistant to the officers, claiming he had done nothing wrong.
When the officers told the man he was under arrest, he allegedly told them, “It’s not going to happen.”
The officers attempted to place the man in handcuffs, but he resisted to the point that an officer had to discharge his taser.
He was then placed into handcuffs and treated by EMS at the scene.
He was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail without incident on charges of Criminal Trespass to a Dwelling, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
