A local veterans organization is gearing up for its third annual Flights for a Flight Dart Tournament.
The tournament, hosted by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 477 out of St. Nazianz and Scott’s Vending, will be held on Saturday, January 11th at Shadows Bar in School Hill.
It is a “Luck of the Draw” style tournament, with a pulled pork lunch, 50/50 raffle, and a Tractor Day UTV raffle also taking place.
Scott’s Vending is donating $10 for each participant to Old Glory Honor Flight, which transports veterans of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam to Washington DC to visit the war memorials.
Also, at the tournament, a spokesman for the Sons of the American Legion will be available to talk about the program.
And, of note, American Legion Post 477 – St Nazianz will pay the dues for all new members of the Squadron for the 2025 membership year.
Sign-in will begin at 11:00 a.m., and the darts will start flying at noon.
