The woman who claims to worship the “Saint of Death” will not have her preliminary hearing yet.
During her first appearance in Judge Jerilyn Dietz’s courtroom, prosecutors asked for a competency hearing for 48-year-old Blanca Perez-Hernandez.
According to court records, Dietz challenged the defendant’s competency based on information received from the Manitowoc County Jail.
However, she granted the competency hearing on Monday, January 27th at 11:00 am.
Perez-Hernandez is facing charges of 1st-degree reckless injury with a dangerous weapon.
Manitowoc Police says she slashed a person last week and tried to stab another as she was taking license plates off cars. She claimed that she worshiped “Santa Muerte” and that he had gifted her,
“All the cars in the trailer park and in all the world.”
Her family reportedly tried to get her help for an undisclosed medical condition.
