
Menasha High School was temporarily locked down due to an armed man in the vicinity.
The Menasha Police Department responded to a report on Tuesday (March 12th) of a man walking around with a gun near the high school at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Witnesses told police that they saw an individual with a rifle in his hands in the 800 block of Milwaukee Street.
Responding officers set up a perimeter before locating the armed subject, who was then swiftly taken into custody without incident.
During the ordeal, Menasha High School was placed in a temporary lockdown out of precaution ensuring the safety of students and staff.
The unidentified suspect’s intentions are unknown at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
