Wisconsin labor officials are announcing a historic high in nonfarm employment statewide.
The Department of Workforce Development reports that, as of January this year, more than 3 million jobs were recorded outside the agricultural sector, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
While the state’s unemployment rate did increase slightly to 3.2% for January, it remains below the national average of 4%.
The labor force participation rate in Wisconsin remained steady at nearly 66%.
