The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department has released its annual report for 2024.
This annual report outlines what the department accomplished over the past year, ranging from events to park upgrades.
Many of those upgrades took place at Neshotah Park and Beach.
Beach additions last year were highlighted by the donation of five life rings by the Two Rivers Firefighters Local 423 to improve beach safety and three SwimSmart beach alert signs.
These signs inform beachgoers of possibly hazardous conditions during swimming season.
Park additions included a new pathway being installed between the concession stand to Walsh Field, upgrading the park’s accessibility.
While the new playground in the park was installed in late 2023, last year was its first full year in operation and was also seen as a major hit with children of all ages.
These are just a few of the park upgrades completed across the city by the Parks and Rec Department.
