Although it was lower than their goal, the Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve raised a lot of money for their final Tropical Blast event.
The 9th and final blast happened at the Sepia Chapel in Two Rivers on February 22nd with $48,000 being raised for the nature preserve.
Communications Director Nancy Nabak says, “We’re so happy with how the community has supported this event for years. Our sizable restoration projects and education programs depend on this funding.”
She also thanked everyone who supported the event and hoped people will join staff on one of their nature hikes soon.
Nabak told SeehaferNews.com that there will be a new event coming up, but didn’t provide many details.
