Another nearly five-decade-old track record has been broken at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
Gabriel Stuebs etched his name into the record books for the second time, taking down the school record in the 200-meter dash.
While participating in the meet at Cedar Grove-Belgium, Stuebs ran a 22.82, .36 seconds faster than the previous record of 23.18 set in 1979.
This is the second time Stuebs broke a school record, as he knocked Jim Lorenz off the leaderboard in the 400-meter dash last season with a time of 50.54 at the Big East Conference Championships in Mishicot.
Two other records were broken last season as well, with Jacob Kanzenbach breaking, and then resetting the record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.15 and the 4×800 meter relay team of Jacob Kanzenbach, Joey Ungemach, Ryder Vogt, and Braden Revak set the school record with an 8:28.34 time at the state tournament.
