Mayor Justin Nickels has an update on storm damage sustained by the S.S. Badger Car ferry dock over the weekend.
The Mayor says Governor Walker—Assemblyman Paul Tittl along the State Tourism and Transportation departments have all been helpful in making sure the dock is repaired quickly.
The City Council has approved to transfer money from a separate project to help defray the city’s portion of the cost. There’s no official damage estimate at- this- time with Nickels hopeful that repairs can be made in time for the start of the daily crossings from Manitowoc to Ludington Michigan which are scheduled to begin May 11th.
