Janice M. Pautz, age 79, of Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, September 22, 2018 at St. Mary’s at Felician Village.
Janice was born on February 17, 1939 at Lark, Brown County, daughter of the late Clancis and Lorena (Eichhorst) Pahl. She graduated from Reedsville High School in 1956. On July 16, 1958 Janice married Walter L. Pautz Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church at Wayside. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Janice was a devoted stay at home mother and then worked for Osco Drug for 28 years until her retirement. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Janice was a volunteer for Manitowoc Lutheran High School Repeat Performance resale shop.
She is survived by her husband: Walter Pautz Jr., Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Lynn L. (Gary) Markowski, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Todd A. (Terese) Pautz, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Megan Markowski; Ethan Markowski; Calvin Pautz; Victoria Pautz and Wesley Pautz; one brother and sister-in-law: Don (Joan) Pahl, Maribel; two sisters: Jean Mehrmann, Glendale, AZ; Judith Eiles, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Reuben (Renate) Pautz, Stuttgart, Germany; Vernon Pautz, Mishicot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clancis and Lorena Pahl; her step-father: Walter Krieser; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter and Louise Pautz Sr.; two brothers-in-law: Ted Mehrmann; Cyril Eiles; one sister-in-law: Kathleen Pautz.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Daniel R. Sims will officiate with burial of her cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be appreciated for Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
