Glenn E. Kappelman, age 75, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, died peacefully Wednesday night, Dec. 12, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center, with his family at his side.
Glenn was born in Two Rivers on November 4, 1943, to Melvin and Doris (Heldt) Kappelman, and was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. On October 20, 1973, he married Margaret A. Bauer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Norman. Glenn was employed at Schwartz Mfg. of Two Rivers for 44 years until his retirement. Over the years he enjoyed playing softball and dart ball. His softball teams included the Labor Hall, Bob’s Bar, and Estran; and his dart ball teams included playing for the Labor Hall, Tippy’s, Sauve’s and the Senior Center. In his retirement years, he enjoyed babysitting his grandchildren. Glenn was presently a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, and member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; son & daughter-in-law, Glenn Jr. and his wife, Kristen; daughter & son-in-law, Melissa and her husband, Pete Heinrich; and his six grandchildren: Daniel, Alexis, Robert, Tyson, Olivia, and Ryker. He is further survived by two brothers & sisters-in-law, Dale and Faye Kappelman, Paul and Linda Kappelman; one sister, Candice Rank; and a brother-in-law, Donald (Debbie) Bauer; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Rank.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Rev. Tom Reynebeau will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial, with cremation to follow.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Monday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
