Eline Louise Matthias Glaeser, age 94, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Mary Home in Manitowoc.
Eline was born on February 27, 1924 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late William and Marie Clasen Matthias. Eline was a graduate of Valders High School and continued her education at the Manitowoc Business College. She was employed in past years in the payroll department at Mirro Aluminum, Valders Oil Company as the office manager, and retired as the Branch Office Manager of Quality State Oil Company in Sheboygan. On October 27, 1945 she married Robert William Glaeser at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Liberty. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2010. Eline was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and the Manitowoc Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, and spending time with the grandchildren at their cottage at Sand Bay.
She is survived by her two sons: Attorney Daniel (Sharon) Glaeser, Manitowoc; Dale Glaeser, Manitowoc; one daughter: Barbara (Michael) Bomber, Green Bay; five grandchildren: Adam Glaeser, Matthew Glaeser, Sarah Glaeser, Amie Bomber and Christopher (Leah) Bomber; one sister-in-law: Janet Matthias, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Marie Matthias; husband: Robert; three brothers and two sisters-inlaw: Arland and Irene Matthias; Vilas and Gladys Matthias; twin brother, Edward Matthias; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorraine and Armin Ewald; and Bernett and Robert Lorfeld.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Sims. Burial will take place at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery in the town of Liberty, Manitowoc County. Relatives and friends may call at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
