Now that the Fourth of July celebration has come to a close, people will need to safely dispose of their fireworks. A Green Bay family found out the hard way what happens if you do not. Their garage on the 1100 Block of Webster Ave. caught fire after improper disposal. The blaze was quickly extinguished but caused $10,000 in damages. Remember to ensure that all fireworks are completely cool and inactive before placing them into any trash or recycling receptacle. A good way to ensure safe disposal is to soak all expended fireworks in a bucket of water before throwing them away.
